Most people still think of breast cancer as a “women’s disease.” But recent reports — including a powerful article by Aaj Tak — are helping break that myth:

Boys and men can get breast cancer too. And while it’s rare, it can be dangerous — especially if detected late.

At Carcinoma Care Center, we’ve been working to educate families about all forms of cancer — including those that affect young boys and adolescent males. More importantly, we are one of the few cancer care facilities in Chhattisgarh actively promoting the Cervavac vaccine — a revolutionary step toward cancer prevention in boys.

💡 Yes, Boys Have Breast Tissue Too

It may surprise many, but boys are born with small amounts of breast tissue — just like girls. In rare cases, this tissue can develop cancer, especially due to:

  • Genetic factors

  • Hormonal imbalances

  • Family history

  • Radiation exposure

  • Or even certain lifestyle risks

Symptoms include:

  • A lump behind the nipple

  • Pain or swelling

  • Discharge or inverted nipples

Since people rarely suspect breast cancer in boys, diagnosis is often delayed — making awareness crucial.

🛡️ Cervavac: A Preventive Shield for Boys

At Carcinoma Care Center, we’re proud to be ahead of the curve in promoting Cervavac, India’s first indigenously developed HPV vaccine, not just for girls — but for boys too.

Why boys?

HPV (Human Papillomavirus) is a major cause of:

  1. Penile Cancer

  2. Anal Cancer

  3. Throat & Oral Cancers

And growing evidence suggests HPV may even play a role in rare male breast cancers — making vaccination a smart, preventive step.

📣 Vaccinating Boys Is Not Just Safe — It’s Necessary

In India, we often hesitate to vaccinate boys against diseases we think only affect women. But science and global public health agencies now recommend HPV vaccination for both sexes.

At Carcinoma Care Center, we’re already:

  • Administering Cervavac to eligible boys and girls aged 9–26

  • Educating schools and parents through awareness campaigns

  • Collaborating with local health authorities for wider outreach

🧬 Prevention Today = Protection Tomorrow

We believe that cancer prevention begins before cancer ever shows up. By getting boys vaccinated with Cervavac, you protect them from at least three potentially life-threatening cancers — and possibly more.

As the world wakes up to the reality of male breast cancer, let’s act — not react.
